Remove pollutants from vegetables and fruits
Fill a spray bottle with 250 ml of distilled or boiled water and add 5 drops of lemon oil. Spray it on your store-bought fruits and vegetables before putting them in the refrigerator or for storage. The oil removes the pollutants and pesticides, the wax or residues of unwanted bacteria. You can also put fruit, for example berries, in a bowl with water and bicarbonate soda, and add 2 drops of lemon. Leave it on for about 10 minutes. After that, you can eat them straight away. You will see that this not only makes your fruits and vegetables healthier, but also makes them last much longer.
Use the oils for a refreshing drink
Especially in summer you can use oils such as green mandarine, lime, lemongrass, wild orange, grapefruit, lemon or even lavender in the water. One drop per litre is enough. Depending on your taste, you can be intuitive here. Most of doTerra oils can be taken internally, unless they have a safety lock (e.g. Deep Blue/ Ice Blue) These oils cannot be ingested. You might like to work with a pipette here so that you can dose correctly.
Create your own detergent, without harmful chemicals
You can also use oils like lemon, onguard, lemongrass or oregano for cleaning. To do this, create a spray or use the pipette. You will see that you can get surfaces clean again in no time at all. Tea Tree is also a real miracle cure. 10 drops in a 250ml spray bottle and mixed with water, you can spray surfaces all over the house. Make sure your spray bottles are of high quality, as oils can break down plastics. Glass or aluminum is preferred.
Descaling without harmful chemicals
Simply mix a few drops of lemon with a little tap water and let it take effect. Also helps with diffusers for cleaning.
Have fun trying it out!
